The National Cadet Corps aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook and the spirit of selflessness and concern for fellow beings, and to always uphold the unity of India. The NCC's role being multifaceted, Churachandpur College which caters to students from all sections of the society and having a very significant role in the education and eradication of illiteracy, has been fortunate to be engaged with the girl's wing of the NCC-- 65 Manipur Girls Battalion NCC , officially from 18th Dec 2020. The official NCC raising and flag hoisting for Churachandpur college falls on 20th December 2020.
The NCC is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. Participation in various other social and regional activities is highly encouraged and as such the cadets of Churachandpur college have been participating in many activities too. Being newly established in the extra curricular fold of the college, at present there are 55 girl cadets enrolled, 1 caretaker and 2 PA staff who visit the college from time to time.
The NCC cadets have been participating in many activities both online and offline. Currently they are volunteering at the state regional covid centres.
